Cheyne is a senior for the Schreiner men's golf team. He started his spring campaign with a runner-up finish at the Linda Lowery Invitational while leading the Mountaineers to the title in an event that featured four top-25 teams in the 10-team field. Kendall's opening round 73 was particularly good. One of only three rounds below 78 in the nasty weather conditions, Kendall took a three-stroke lead into the final round. He managed 78 over the final 18 holes in conditions that were actually colder at the start than the first day, but fell one spot in the medalist race. Kendall is both an All-American and Academic All-American and is currently ranked #18 in the nation. He is also a candidate for the national Byron Nelson Award.
