Jessica will begin her second year
as Schreiner University’s Head
Athletic Trainer, sharing coverage
of 13 sports with Assistant Athletic
Trainer Janel Dowdee (also in her
second year). Jessica joined the
Schreiner family in the summer of
2008 after completing two years as a
graduate assistant at James Madison
University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, VA
where she also completed her Masters
degree.
While at JMU, Johnson worked
primarily with the softball team,
and her responsibilities included
maintaining all injury paperwork,
insurance, rehabilitation,
treatment, and prevention of
athletic injuries, as well as
practice, conditioning, home and
away game coverage. She graduated
from JMU in 2008 with a Master of
Science degree in Kinesiology.
Prior to JMU, Jessica attended Texas
Lutheran University (TLU) as a
student in the CAATE accredited
Athletic Training Education Program,
where she worked various sports
including football, Women’s
Basketball, and Men’s Soccer.
Johnson graduated summa cum laude
from TLU in 2006 with a Bachelors of
Science degree in Athletic Training.
Jessica is a local graduate of
Bandera High School, and is thrilled
to be back home in the Hill Country
where her parents, and two younger
sisters, Alex and Sam still reside.
When not working, Johnson enjoys
running long distances, watching
movies, reading, spending time with
her two dogs Sunny and Lexi, and
experimenting with cooking while
trying not to burn down the house. |
