UT Arlington Runs Past
SU
UT Arlington's
basketball program was
recently ranked 24th
nationally among
mid-major Division I
programs, and on Monday
night the Schreiner
found out why. The
Mavericks proved too
much for the
Mountaineers, who
dropped the contest
66-99. Fourteen
Schreiner players saw
time in the game, and no
SU player saw more than
25 minutes of action.
Kieth Perry proved to be
a bright spot for
Schreiner, as he shot
7-14 from the field and
4-7 from the 3 point
line on his way to a 19
point outing.
Forward Justin Land
scored 12 points, and
guard Corey Tellis added
11. The
Mountaineers shot 39.3%
for the contest.
UT Arlington shot 63.9%
for the contest, and
was led by Rog'er Guignard's 16
points.
The win moved the
Mavericks to 5-0 on the
season, while the
Mountaineers dropped to
0-3.
