Men Struggle at McMurry Invitational
The Schreiner Men's Cross
Country team ran for the first time at the McMurry
Invitational and found its flat, winding course
difficult to navigate. Anthony Johnson was SU's
top finisher, placing 28th overall in a time of 31:53
while teammate Alex Price was a distant second in a time
of 35:10.
"The 8k race was very slow
paced for our team," stated head coach Rodney Holland.
"The course was long but was mainly flat with a lot of
turns through the woods. As a team, everyone was
disappointed with their times. We will have to be
better prepared for our next race at the
University of Dallas."
