Brothers Ryan and Michael Maia each had one of their best individual performances at the 2009 ASC Championships in Clinton, MS.  Running on a course that had been inundated with rain over the preceding days, the two still managed to post times that were very near their personal bests and best times of the season. 

Ryan, a sophomore, ran the 8k race in 32:57 while older brother Michael, a junior, finished just 19 seconds back.  Overall, Ryan finished 35th while Michael was 37th among the 76 runners in the race. 

There were the only two Schreiner runners who qualified to run in the ASC Championships this fall.  Mississippi College, running on its home course, won the team title.
