Favorite moment(s) on court,
field, etc.: The 2008 high
school baseball season. It
was the Area Playoffs, and
we were playing stated
ranked Moody Trojans at home
in Alice. We faced arguably
the best pitcher in the
state of Texas. Everyone
thought we didn’t have a
chance in the world to win.
I promised my girlfriend
that I would get a hit my
first at bat just for her.
My chance came in the 1st
inning to do just that. I
stepped into the batters
box, and waited for the
pitch. He dealt me a curve
ball on the outer half of
the plate, I saw the seems
of the ball right out of his
hand. I sat back and drove
the curveball into left
center field for a single.
When I got to the bag, I
looked for my girlfriend in
the crowd of around 1,000
fans, I found her and
pointed to her. Bringing
tears to her eyes. We went
on to win that game. It was
the best feeling in the
world.
Something I always pack for
a game/match road trip: My
toothbrush!
