Gets OT Win over Mountaineers
Texas Lutheran
added to Schreiner's hard-luck season with an
emotional 2-1 win over SU in Seguin. After
a scoreless first half, Schreiner hit the back
of the net first on sophomore Dean Ellis' goal
(unassisted) just two minutes into the second
half.
That lead looked good going into the final ten
minutes of the match, but TLU got the equalizing
goal with less than eight minutes remaining from
Andrew Latiolais. The two teams remained
tied at the end of regulation and went into
overtime.
TLU's Pedro Martinez scored the game-winner
three minutes into the first overtime and
improved their record to 3-3-2 overall and 3-1-1
in ASC. Schreiner fell to 2-4-1 overall,
and 1-3-1 in league play. |
