Once again, the SU Men's Tennis team earned a spot in
the ASC Championships and that success has created
recognition for the team's top players. Sophomore
Christian Sasam was
named first team All-ASC West Division after playing #1
singles throughout the year. Teammate
Trey Brannen was named
to the All-ASC West Division second team and also
garnered recognition as the division's top freshmen.
Senior
Jay Govan also picked
up honorable mention All-ASC West.
Sasam had a
5-2 record in the ASC this year against the opposing
team's top player. Brannen, playing #2 and #3
singles, went on nearly a six week run through
conference without losing a match (including doubles).
He was a perfect 7-0 in division matches. Govan,
the team's lone player older than a sophomore, was 6-6
overall and 4-3 in the ASC.
