Hardin-Simmons Cruises to 8-1 Win over SU
Schreiner scored a win at #2
doubles early in its match with visiting Hardin-Simmons but
that was the only point the Mountaineers would earn in an
8-1 loss. Sophomores Carlo Sasam and Ben Jackson
teamed to win their match 8-3, but SU (3-3 in ASC) dropped
its matches at both #1 doubles and #3 doubles. After
doubles action was completed, Schreiner trailed 2-1.
In singles action, Hardin-Simmons (3-0 in ASC) didn't drop a
set in its six matches. This was the fourth match in
six days for Schreiner and the Mountaineer players seemed to
be struggling with their stamina in the match. |
