 Okland
Named ASC Player of the Week
Sophomore Danny Okland was named American Southwest
Conference Player of the Week for the action from February
26-March 4. During that time, Okland had two wins as
the Mountaineers posted an 8-1 win over visiting Sul Ross
State in the ASC opener for both teams. He also lost a
match at nationally-ranked Trinity.
Okland defeated SRSU's John Langerock, 6-1, 6-0 at #2
singles. He earlier had teamed with freshman Jesse
McKinney to win at #2 doubles, 9-7, over the Lobo duo of
John Taylor and Julian Garcia. |
