First
off, Happy Thanksgiving to you all,
The winter sports season began last
weekend and our first home contests
are this Saturday. This Saturday's
home openers will be against
UT-Dallas. The Comets should again
contend for the ASC East Division
title in both women's and men's
competition so the Mountaineers face
a stern test right out of the gate.
Before the games, there also will be
a free basketball clinic for area
children from 9-11 am in Edington
Gym. More information can be found
on the athletics website (http://athletics.schreiner.edu)
Here's a quick look at last Friday's
game and a schedule of this
Saturday's ASC openers for the
Women's and Men's Basketball teams:

Mary's 46-95. Schreiner struggled
against the nationally-ranked NCAA
Division II Rattlers. St. Mary's

controlled the game throughout.
Freshman Riley Battle led all SU
scorers with 11 points. Fellow
freshman David Flannery contributed
8 points and a team-high seven
rebounds off the bench and sophomore
