This will be a very busy weekend for SU Soccer and Volleyball teams. Both Schreiner Soccer teams are home for matches on Friday and Saturday afternoon. SU will also be hosting the ASC Crossover Volleyball tournament this weekend, both at Edington Gym and at Tivy High School. All home events are free for SU students. The ASC Crossover matches will have a gate charge for non-students.  Here's a quick rundown of last week's activities and a schedule of the next week's contests.

Previous Weeks' Results:

VOLLEYBALL  (8-10 overall, 5-6 in ASC). Beat Sul Ross State, 3-1; lost at Concordia-Texas, 3-0. SU Volleyball split its matches with SRS and Concordia-Texas. Sophomore MH Tiffany Miller was the top performer for the Mountaineers, racking up 20 kills vs. the Lady Lobos and being the only offensive player with positive stats in the road match at CTX.

MEN'S SOCCER (2-8-1 overall, 1-5-1 in ASC). Lost at LeTourneau, 4-2, and lost at East Texas Baptist, 4-3. Despite scoring five goals, the hard-luck Mountaineers couldn't pick up an elusive win on their east Texas road trip. In the LeTourneau match, SU's two goals were scored by freshman Krisjon Phillips (assist to senior Ryan Ross) and freshman Jeremy Leoni (assist by junior Julio Rodriguez).

WOMEN'S SOCCER (2-7-1 overall, 1-5-1 in ASC). Lost at LeTourneau, 2-1, and lost at ETBU, 2-0. Schreiner dropped a pair of matches on the road. The lone SU goal was scored by freshman Danni Gomez.

MEN'S/WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY competed at the University of Dallas Invitational. No results yet reported.
