Schreiner Soccer will be on the road
in east Texas this weekend while the
Volleyball team returns to Edington
Gym to host Sul Ross State in
conference action this Saturday
afternoon. Next weekend will be a
big one for SU sports. Schreiner
hosts key matches vs. Mississippi
College and Louisiana College and we
also host the ASC Crossover
Tournament both in Edington Center
and at Tivy HS. More info on those
events next week. Here's a
look back at the past week+ worth of
action and a schedule of upcoming
events. |
|
Previous Weeks'
Results:
VOLLEYBALL
(7-9 overall, 4-5 in the ASC). Went
3-2 over the past nine days. Beat
Howard Payne (3-1) at home, beat
UT-Tyler (3-0) lost to UT-Dallas
(1-3) and beat UMHB (3-2) last
weekend at the ASC Crossover
Tournament in Dallas. Lost to Our
Lady of the Lake. Tiffany Miller was
particularly effective in this
series of matches. In the Crossover
alone, she had 64 kills - including
a school-record 39 in the win vs.
UMHB. Also had 14 kills. Brittany
Alvillar had 81 digs in the
tournament - including 32 in the
UMHB win - 3rd best in school
history.
MEN'S
SOCCER (2-6-1, 1-3-1 in
ASC). Had three hard-luck losses
last week. Lost at TLU, 1-0, in
overtime. Lost at home, 1-0, to NCAA

MEN'S GOLF:
Finished 10th at the UMHB
Invitational. Were in 7th place
going into the final round but fell
back three places. Two freshmen,

was SU's top finisher in 20th place
overall after shooting 79-75.
WOMEN'S

first day. SU's top three finishers
all showed improvement over their
