Hay Earn ASC Player-of-the-Week Honors

Player of the Week awards after Schreiner's four
game sweep of Sul Ross State last weekend in
Alpine, TX.
Jendrusch had a
monster day last Saturday in SU's 10-2 and 13-5
doubleheader sweep of the Lady Lobos. In
the first game, she was 2-for-2 with two home
runs (including a grand slam) and drove in six
while scoring twice. In the second game,
she was 1-for-3 but that one hit was a three-run
homer. She drove in four in the game and
scored three times.
For the weekend, she was 7-for-10 with 12 RBI.
For the season, she has raised her average to
.375, has five home runs and 28 RBI. She
leads the team with 19 walks.
Hay also had a big weekend. She was 2-0
and only allowed two runs in 11 innings of work.
In Friday's game, she pitched a complete game
and allowed only two hits in the 10-0 shutout.
In Saturday's game, she again went the distance
and allowed only two runs while striking out
nine. For the season, she is 11-8 with a
team leading 3.47 ERA. At the plate, she's
hitting .341 with four homers and 32 RBI.
