Chris Crawford coached at Schreiner in
the late 1960's for four years. He is USPTA certified and has been
teaching tennis and coaching for 38 years. Crawford grew up in the
Bay Area of California and played collegiate tennis at the
University of Corpus Christi.
He was the #2 ranked junior player
in the world, won seven U.S. Junior Championships (two-time
runner-up), played in nine U.S. Opens, and five Wimbledons (reaching
the Quarterfinals once). Crawford also played on a winning U.S.
Davis Cup team.
He spent the majority of his
teaching career in the Corpus Christi area and now teaches at the
H.E.B. Tennis Center in Kerrville. He has coached numerous State
Champions and adult league tennis.
He has three daughters and a 13
year old grandson, Tyler. |
