Top-Ranked TLU Updends
Mountaineers, 3-1

Coach John Wyatt Greenlee's
SU Volleyball team did
something that hadn't been
accomplished in his
three-year tenure, but it
wasn't enough to defeat
top-ranked TLU. After
falling in game one by a
competitive 24-30 score, the
Mountaineers bounced back in
game two and posted a 30-26
win. It was the first
time that Schreiner had
taken a game from perennial
power Texas Lutheran in
several years.
Although TLU came out fired
up for game 3, SU continued
to battle but just couldn't
get ahead down the stretch
or win the key points as TLU
posted 30-23 and 30-24 wins
in games three and four to
earn the 3-1 win.
Still, Schreiner continues
to improve and impress.
One of the more important
matches of the year takes
place on Thursday as Sul
Ross State comes to
Kerrville. Although
the ASC season will only be
half over, the winner will
have the inside shot at
third place in the ASC West.
Freshman
Tiffany Miller
and senior
Whitney Barron
continue to lead the
Mountaineers statistically.
Barron posted 30 digs while
Miller had 20 kills and a
.390 attack percentage.
Sophomore
Julie
Peddy had 42
