Cruises by Schreiner in Three Games

Texas Lutheran
proved too much for visiting Schreiner as the
Lady Bulldogs powered to a 3-0 win in Seguin.
Schreiner led game one, 21-17, but TLU (6-2, 3-0
in ASC) rallied to win the game, 25-23.
The comeback may have deflated the Mountaineers
(4-6, 1-1 in ASC) because TLU jumped out to a
big lead, 17-9, in game two and went on to win,
25-18. In game three, Schreiner was
hanging tough and trailed only 17-15 but TLU
closed out SU with an 8-1 run to put the match
away. Game three's score was 25-16.
Junior Tiffany Miller was SU's top offensive
performer, registering 12 kills and a .556
attack percentage. Senior Malorie
Westerholm had 28 assists. Junior Brittany
Alvillar had 14 digs.
Sophomores Misty Fletcher and Caitlin Gayle
added eight kills and six kills respectively.
Schreiner will look to rebound this weekend
against Sul Ross State in ASC action. It
will be SU's first home match since August 31st.
Schreiner defeated Sul Ross State on September
9th in Alpine, 3-1.
