Schreiner Rolls Over ASC Tournament Host UMHB,
3-0
The Schreiner Volleyball team kept itself in ASC
postseason contention with a 3-0 win at Mary
Hardin-Baylor in the final match of the second
ASC Crossover Tournament. SU (12-11, 9-6
in ASC) went 2-1 during the tournament and
remains one game out of third place in the ASC
West Division.
Schreiner won the first game 25-20, the second
game 25-18 and won 25-20 again to sweep the Lady
Crusaders (6-20, 4-10 in ASC).
Xandria White played huge in the match, knocking
down 17 kills to go with two blocks.
Tiffany Miller had eight kills and 2.5 blocks.
Sophomore Holly Howard had 16 digs. Senior
Marissa Stearns had six kills, 10 digs.
Sophomore Misty Fletcher had five kills and four
aces. Malorie Westerholm had 34 assists.
Schreiner hosts Howard Payne on Tuesday for
Senior Night as SU seniors White, Stearns,
Westerholm and Libby Howard all play in front of
the home fans one last time.
