McMurry Takes Over in Second Half
For the second time in
two days, the Mountaineers had to face a nationally-ranked
team. #13 McMurry pulled away after halftime to record
a 85-59 win. Schreiner kept it close in the first half
and trailed 46-34 at the break but preseason ASC player of
the year Tara Richardson took control in the second half,
scoring 15 points and SU couldn't compete.
Monica Enriquez led all
scorers with 23 points, including 17 in the first half but
picked up her third foul before halftime.
Courtney Davis also was hot
early and had 12 points at the break. She would end up
with 16 in the game. Senior
Liberty Liesmann, playing
in her final home game at SU, had 5 points.
