The #9 ranked McMurry
women's basketball team
came out on fire,
shooting .759% from the
floor in the first half,
and rode their momentum
to a 85-60 win over the
visiting Mountaineers.
The home team made 22 of
29 shots in the first
period, and at the half
SU trailed by a score of
27-51. The
Mountaineers, playing
with their backs to the
wall most of the night,
could never get back
into the game against
their nationally ranked
opponents.
Freshman Anna Fareed led
Schreiner in scoring
with 17 points, and
junior guard Monica
Enriquez chipped in 14
points. Xandria
White led the team in
rebounding, pulling down
6 boards in the contest.
