Hot Shooting First Half Carries Patriots to Win

UT-Tyler shot 56% in the first half and 80% from long range in the first half en route to a 96-80 win at Schreiner.  The Patriots started the game by making their first 15 shots from the field and built up a sizeable lead.  Although UT-T cooled off later in the half, Schreiner was only able to chip into the lead.

Shooting less than 38% and being outrebounded 21-10 in the half, Schreiner trailed 50-36 at the break.  In the second half, UT-Tyler (5-1, 2-0 in ASC) was never threatened by couldn't put away the Mountaineers (0-3, 0-2 in ASC).

For the game, the Patriots held a commanding 45-21 lead on the boards.  Schreiner outshot the Patriots 42-40% in the second half and forced 23 turnovers.

Junior Monica Enriquez and sophomore Courtney Davis each had a team high 23 points for SU.  UT-Tyler's post dominance was led by Kasey Buggs who scored 34 points on 10-12 shooting.  Enriquez added 9 assists and 5 rebounds.  Freshman Anna Fareed came off the bench to score 11 points and senior Lynn Stow had 10 in the loss.
