National Champs Win Big

76-37, in Kerrville on
Thursday night.
The Lady Jackets are the
defending national
champions in NCAA
Division III.
Schreiner fell behind
7-2 in the first 150
seconds of the game but
battled back to within
one at 10-9 with 13:55
left on a three-pointer
by freshman Hannah
Burleson. HPU
scored the next 11
points and was in
control the rest of the
way. The visitors
led 32-17 at halftime.
Again, turnovers (18)
and rebounding (HPU led
18-11) along with only
making 21% of their
first-half shots led to
the Mountaineers
undoing.
HPU scored the first 8
points of the second
half and went on to win
76-37. Senior
Xandria White was the
only Mountaineer in
double figures with 10
points.
