A pair of freshmen ran for the injury and illness-depleted
SU Women's Cross Country team at the Texas D-III
Championships in Seguin. Amanda Mendoza posted her
third impressive finish in three events, this time a 6th
place finish, to pace the Mountaineer effort. Her time
of 25:35 was :15 faster than her effort at the McMurry
Invitational and lowered her own school record at that
distance.
Kimberly Gotelli was the other
SU runner in the field and she ran the race in a time of
32:12. The runners return to Seguin this weekend to
race in the TLU Invitational on the same course.
