KERRVILLE, TX - The Schreiner Women's Golf team shot 332 in gusty conditions to nail down the runner-up spot to UT-Tyler at the Schreiner Fall Classic, played at Scott Schreiner Golf Club.  SU Senior Surraya Minhas shot a two day total of 159 to finish in fourth place individually to lead the SU effort.  UT-Tyler, the defending champion and the top-ranked team in the field (#32 nationally), shot a 652 to win by 10 shots over Schreiner (ranked #36).  Mary Hardin-Baylor, ranked #37 in the national polls, finished third after shooting 667 in the tournament.  UT-Dallas was fourth (740) and Texas A&M International was fifth (760).

Our Lady of the Lake University's Brady Viertel and UTD's Alicia Yoder tied for individual medalist honors with a 156 total.  Viertel won the title in a scorecard playoff.

Sophomore Sarah Stillwell shot a second-day 81 (165 total) to finish seventh overall.  Junior Liz Calderon fell back to 11th (167).  Freshman Ashley Hernandez rallied from a disappointing first round with a collegiate-best 82 to claim 16th place.  Another freshman, Katlynd Imbody, was 21st.  Schreiner also played three medalists in the event.  Freshman Brittany Miears was lowest of the three and finished 18th.  Freshman Simone Date struggled in her second round and tied Imbody for 21st.  Sophomore Rylie Pankratz was 31st in the field.

The SFC concluded Schreiner Women's Golf's fall season.  The team won't gather again until the spring season starts in February.
