Sarah is a strong player and an honors student and should make an immediate impact on our young team as a freshman.  In May, she led her team to a third place finish at the UIL State Tournament.  It was the first time in school history that MVHS reached the State tournament.  The team won the regional and district tournament with Sarah finishing as district runner-up.  Success at the district tournament is nothing new for her individually as she was the two-time defending medalist for District 27-3A going into 2008.  She was also the runner up at last year's Boerne Invitational and finished third in Bandera's tournament.   She is particularly long off the tee which will serve her well as she makes the move to the longer distance of the college game.  Sarah has a tournament low round of 74 which she shot in March.  She's also having great success in the classroom with a 3.5 GPA and is interested in studying Pre-Medicine at SU.
