LeTourneau Knocks
Off SU, 6-0
LeTourneau raced
to a 4-0 lead in the first half on its way to a 6-0
win over Schreiner in ASC play. Although
statistically it was an even match, LeTourneau
dominated on the scoreboard. LU scored its
four first-half goals over a 20 minute stretch and
then netted two more early in the second half.
Schreiner had a lot of opportunities to stay or get
back into the match, but it was not to be.
LeTourneau only held a slight 21-20 edge in shots
over the youthful Mountaineers but the edge was 16-9
in the first half and LeTourneau made the most of
its chances.
Connie Banayad
played the whole match in goal and had nine saves
for Schreiner. SU falls to 2-4 in ASC play
with the loss. |
