Two Late Goals Give
Ozarks 4-2 Win
Schreiner
Women's Soccer battled back from a 2-0 first half
deficit to tie the match. The tie lasted only
one minute as Ozarks got the eventual game winner
and an additional late goal to pull away for a 4-2
road win.
The Eagles scored
first half goals in both the 13th and 40th minute
for the two goal halftime lead, but Schreiner got
busy just six minutes into the second half and cut
the deficit. Freshman Kellye Nation scored in
the 52nd minute to make it 2-1 and then Ashley
Avalos scored 59 seconds later - also unassisted -
to tie the match. Fifty-seven seconds after
that, Ozarks broke the back of the Mountaineer
comeback. Schreiner drops to 2-8 in ASC play
with the loss.
