#23 Trinity Rolls to Impressive Win over SU

Trinity's Women's Soccer team, ranked #23 in the NCAA Division III polls, scored early and often in a 12-2 win at Schreiner.  Ten different Lady Tigers scored in the match.  Trinity didn't take long to get on the board.  Seven minutes in, TU got its first goal and then added a second goal only seconds later.

Brianna Young and Alex Leamy led Trinity with two goals each.  Schreiner did manage two goals in the contest.  Freshman Kelsey Olvera scored her first collegiate goal on an assist from fellow freshman Danni Gomez shortly before halftime to make it 6-1.  Trinity pushed its lead back to six just before halftime.   One minute into the second half, SU's Gomez scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season (assist to freshman Ashley Westervelt) to give the home team some brief hope by trimming the TU lead to 7-2.

The Lady Tigers (5-3 overall) scored the match's last five goals.  Schreiner (2-4-1) will host Trinity's conference rival, Southwestern, on Sunday afternoon.
