UT-Tyler Rolls to 7-0 Win at SU
Visiting UT-Tyler's
Women's Soccer team dominated Schreiner in a 7-0 win
in Kerrville.
For 20 minutes, the match was a scoreless tie.
It only took the visitors 150 more seconds to put
the Mountaineers in a hole that they couldn't
recover from. Lauren Thomas, Jessica Pierce
and Amanda Thomas each scored goals in a 2-1/2
minute stretch to end any upset thoughts that SU
might have.
The visitors added a fourth goal shortly after and
took a comfortable 4-0 lead into the locker room.
UT-Tyler started the second half quickly with a goal
less than two minutes in and was in control the rest
of the way. Two late goals closed out the
scoring.
Adding injury to the outcome, SU freshman Kaitlin
Moore suffered an apparent lower leg injury and did
not return to the match. |
