Gets Past Pesky Mountaineers, 3-0

Kathryn Fondon & pals proved pesky for UTD
Visiting UT-Dallas had more trouble with Schreiner
than expected, but managed a 3-0 win in Kerrville.
The Mountaineers, who have struggled just to find
enough healthy bodies to field a starting team,
proved to be more of a challenge than the Lady
Comets (7-3-3, 5-1-1 in ASC) probably figured.
At halftime, the score was only a 1-0 lead for the
visitors. Schreiner continued to hang tough in
the second half, but did allow two more goals for
the final tally.
Freshman goalkeeper Mindy Mauldin stopped four shots
and went the distance for SU. The Mountaineers
return to the pitch tomorrow afternoon to face
visiting Ozarks.
