SU
Falls in OT to MC
KERRVILLE, TX - The Schreiner
Women's Soccer Team scored a 2nd
Half Goal by Amanda Moon to tie
Mississippi College, but then
fell 2-1 into overtime in ASC
action this afternoon.
MC
controlled the first half with
the wind at their backs and had
10 shots-on-goal. SU GK
Genevieve Monroe stopped 9 of
those 10 shots, but let one slip
through to be down 1-0 at the
half. Against the wind, SU
was not able to get a shot off
in the first half, but the
second half was much different
as SU was able to get 7 shots on
goal. At the 76:58 mark,
Moon's left-footed goal was
scored off a beautiful assist
from Taylore Davis.
Brittagy Vega was also involved
with an assist with SU's goal.
Moon's goal was her 2nd ASC
goal.
MC
took control early in OT and was
able to win the game on a goal
just 1:50 into the 1st OT.
MC's win increases their record
to 8-5-2 (6-2-2 ASC) and takes
SU's record to 2-10-2 (0-8-2 ASC).
SU
will host Louisiana College
tomorrow, October 24th at 1:00pm
as part of Schreiner's Family
Day.
