KERRVILLE, TX
–- Mary Hardin-Baylor's Lexy
Smith scored the match's only
goal in the 25th minute of the
first half as UMHB defeated
Schreiner, 1-0, in Kerrville on
Friday afternoon.
UMHB (5-7 in ASC) had a 9-1
advantage in shots in the first
half and continued to control
the offensive possessions with
an 8-1 lead in the second half.
Sophomore Aryel Kelley and
freshman Rocio Carranza had SU's
(2-10 in ASC) two shots.
Sophomore Lizeth De La Torre had
seven saves in goal for the
Mountaineers.
The Mountaineers play their
final match of the season
Saturday at 1:00 pm vs. Howard
Payne at the Schreiner Soccer
Field in Kerrville.
Schreiner has no seniors on this
year's roster. It is also
Parent's Day.
