Earn All-ASC

Junior Desiree Frausto was named
to the All-ASC team this year.
RICHARDSON, TX
–- Junior Desiree Frausto
was named Honorable Mention
All-American Southwest
Conference this fall and was the
only Mountaineer player
nominated to the squad.
Frausto, from Waller, TX (Waller
HS) was a defender and had to
try to bolster a defensive unit
decimated by injuries. The
team had to play new players in
positions they hadn't played
before and counted quite often
on freshmen to provide defensive
support. Through it all,
Frausto shined and led the unit
to many solid performances.
She will be looked upon as a
leader next year again, as the
Mountaineers (3-10 in ASC) don't
have any seniors on this year's
squad and hope to get back
several key contributors to the
defensive unit in 2012.
