Alvarado/Priess Fall in Doubles Consolation Final

The freshmen doubles team of Amanda Alvarado and Katrina Priess advanced to the championship match in the #1 flight consolation bracket of the ASC Individuals at Tyler, TX.  In the championship, SU's duo fell to UMHB's Butler/White team by an 8-4 count.

In singles action, both senior Patty Santiago (3rd flight) and sophomore Stephanie Reed (4th flight) won their first two matches before falling in the semifinals of their respective flights.  Santiago beat both UT-Dallas' Sylvia Brownfield and Mississippi College's Claire Cox before being tripped up by top seed Kayleigh Sullivan of Howard Payne. 

Reed first beat LeTourneau's Kelly Winslow, then McMurry's Brandi Weatherbee before she also fell to the flight's top seed, Nicole Barrett of UT-Tyler.
