Reed Finishes 2nd in Flight #2 Singles, Priess 3rd in Flight #1

Sophomore Stephanie Reed advanced to the finals of flight #2 at the Temple/UMHB "4-Way" tournament but lost to Southwestern's Mary Pennington, 6-0, 6-1 in the championship.  Along the way to the finals, she won two tiebreakers to advance past Southwestern's Emily Gutzmen and Temple JC's Arsema Mulugate.

Freshman teammate Katrina Priess won her first match in straight sets, but fell in the semifinals of flight #1.  She bounced back with a tiebreak win over Southwestern's Laura Evanoff (4-6, 6-3, 10-7).

Senior Patty Santiago finished fourth in flight #2.  In doubles action, Priess and Amanda Alvarado knocked off their SU teammates, Santiago and Reed to claim 5th place in flight #1.
