Mountaineers Drop All Three Matches at ASC Crossover

Schreiner lost its three matches, and #3 singles player, in the span of 24 hours during the weekend.  On Friday, SU lost to Howard Payne, 0-9.  During the matches, senior Patty Santiago was injured and couldn't compete the rest of the weekend.

On Saturday, the undermanned Mountaineers lost to LeTourneau, 2-7, and then lost to tournament host McMurry, 1-8.  All the matches were part of the ASC Crossover Tournament.

In the LeTourneau match, SU's wins were at #1 singles as freshman Katrina Priess won 6-3, 2-6, (10-7) and at #3 singles where sophomore Stephanie Reed won 6-7, 6-3, (10-8).  In the McMurry match, Schreiner's lone win came when freshman Amanda Alvarado won at #2 singles, 6-2, 6-3.  Schreiner is 0-3 so far this year.
