Women's Tennis Drops Pair of Non-Conference Matches

Schreiner lost a pair of matches in non-conference action.  Southwestern beat SU, 9-0 and then the Mountaineers dropped a close match to visiting Willamette, 3-4.  In the second match, Schreiner picked up points Amanda Alvarado at #3 singles and from Patty Santiago at #4 singles and from the #2 doubles team of Katrina Priess and Alvarado.

Alvarado beat Willamette's Alyssa Morrison, 6-2, 6-3 while Santiago defeated Abby Funabiki, 6-2, 6-4.  In doubles action, Priess and Alvarado edged Funabiki and Morrison, 9-8.
