Philippi and Cox Earn ASC Academic Awards

Sophomores Emily Cox and Tina Philippi were each recognized by the American Southwest Conference for their academic performances by being named to the ASC All-Academic team for 2006.
 

Philippi, who played her first competitive season this year for SU Women's Tennis, was named the team's most-improved player on the court.  Cox, who will leave SU and will continue her academic career in a military academy, also just complete her first competitive season for SU tennis. 

Both have been stars in the classroom.  Philippi, an Exercise Science major, earned President's List recognition again this semester after earning the same after the Fall, 2005 semester.  Cox was a member of the Dean's List this past semester and was on the President's List last fall.  Both had perfect 4.0 GPA's last fall.
