TLU Edges Schreiner Women's Tennis, 4-3

In a match with two undermanned teams, Texas Lutheran slid by visiting Schreiner 4-3 in Seguin.  Neither team had a sixth player to compete in the match.

The Mountaineers (2-3 in ASC) scored wins at #1 doubles, #3 singles and #5 singles.  SU's #1 doubles team of sophomore Katrina Priess and junior Stephanie Reed shutout TLU's #1 doubles team, 8-0.

Reed then won at #3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.  Senior Tina Philippi won at #5 singles 4-6, 3-2 when her opponent, Blair O'Brien, had to retire due to illness.

Priess lost a close match at #1 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 3-6 to Alanna Gangemi.
