HSU Women Win in 9-0 Shutout

Visiting Hardin-Simmons cruised to a 9-0 win over Schreiner Women's Tennis in Kerrville.  The schedule might have been a factor as the Mountaineers (2-4 in ASC) were playing their fourth match in six days.

The most competitive matches were at #2 and #3 singles where Schreiner freshman Michelle Martinez and junior Stephanie Reed each took their opponents to three sets before falling.

Martinez won the first set, 6-2, but dropped the final two sets 6-4, 6-2.  Reed, playing at #3 singles, also won the first set, this one by a 6-3 score, but lost 6-3 in the second set and 6-0 in the third.
