GARRY NADEBAUM

Garry Nadebaum has
agreed to become Schreiner University's new
Women's Tennis head coach. Currently also
the Director of Tennis and Swimming at Riverhill
Country Club in Kerrville, Garry brings a wealth
of experience to the job as a teacher, coach and
former professional and collegiate tennis
player.
In 2007-08, in his first year as head boys and
girls tennis coach at Our Lady of the Hills
School in Kerrville, he coached the boys team to
the TAPPS state title. He has been
highly-successful developing young players.
Included in the dozens of nationally-ranked USTA
junior players he's developed, he brought one of
his students to the #1 USTA national ranking.
Many of his players have gone on to play in
college programs - several at the D-I level.
In his playing career, Garry has racked up
awards and honors. He was the Oklahoma
Adult Player of the Year both in 2003 and 2001
and climbed as high as #25 in the ITF World
Rankings and #2 in the National 35's Singles
Rankings. He has won over 100 first place
and 100 second place finishes in tournament
action.
He is a graduate (Business Administration) of
Oral Roberts University where he was a standout
player. He was ranked as high as #14 in
the nation in doubles and #34 in singles for a
team that also ranked in the top 15 in the
nation. For his first two years in
college, Garry starred at South Plains (Junior)
College and had similar national success before
moving on to ORU.
Garry is a
resident of Kerrville and has two daughters,
ages Ashtyn (5) & Rachel (9).
