No-Hitter Earns Pena Pitcher of the Week Honors

pitcher Bernard Pena was named ASC West Division
Pitcher of the Week after hurling the first
no-hitter of his career on Sunday against
Division II Texas A & M International
University. Pena struck out four, while walking
only one batter, in the seven inning complete
game. The Mountaineers gave Pena plenty of
offensive support as they crushed TAMIU's
pitching for 7 runs. Schreiner improved its
season record to 10-2 with the win. The team
will travel to Marshall, Texas, this weekend to
take on ASC opponent East Texas Baptist
University in a three-game series. |
