Head Men & Women's Golf Coach



Schreiner University named Bill Woodley head golf coach in the summer of 2017.  Prior to accepting this position, Coach Woodley has had successful stops for both men and women’s teams at the University of Arkansas, Texas Christian University and Texas State University.

In his first year with the Mountaineers, the men's team finished second in the conference tournament and the women finished third. 

During his 20+ years as a head coach his teams have won a national championship, 7 conference championships, and have been ranked in the top 20 in the nation 16 times. He has coached 12 All-Americans, had 24 All-Conference selections and has been named coach of the year 5 times. He has also had 7 former players earn their PGA tour cards. In addition to their playing accomplishments, well over 90% of his players completed their college degrees.

Coach Woodley enjoys tournament competition and has been medalist in the U.S. Amateur qualifying and low amateur in the Texas Open. His hobbies are coaching golf, playing golf, watching golf, talking golf and reading about golf.

He and his wife, Su, live in the beautiful hill country outside of Kerrville with their three rescue dogs, Brisket, Huckleberry and Dinky.
