Schreiner Volleyball returns to Edington Center TONIGHT for the first time in a month. SU hosts Sul Ross State in an ASC match at an earlier time of 5:00 pm. The team's been through a month of road trips and could use your support against the Lady Lobos. Congratulations to freshman Jimmy Keener of the 16th-ranked Schreiner Men's Golf team as he became the second SU freshman to win a tournament title in the season's first two tournaments. Keener shot 71-71 to earn a one-stroke victory at the Schreiner Fall Classic over two players.

Here's a quick look back at last week's action and a schedule for the next week:

MEN'S GOLF – SU came in second at the Schreiner Fall Classic, losing only to 22nd-ranked UMHB. In round one, Schreiner shot the second best round in school history (288) and were paced by 71's from Keener, sophomore Marcus Vargas and freshman Cheyne Kendall. In the second round, Mother Nature was in a nasty mood but SU shot the lowest round of the day, 299 to nearly catch UMHB. Kendall, currently ranked #3 in NCAA Division III, was also All-Tournament.

WOMEN'S GOLF – 33rd-ranked Schreiner played solid golf but wasn't as consistent as the men and also finished secon to (14th-ranked) UMHB. Junior Gabby Rosales returned to her spring form on Tuesday, shooting the second lowest round of the day (81) and finished 4th overall. Senior Sarah Stillwell shot 78 in the first round, but didn't fare as well in Tuesday's wind and finished 9th overall. Junior Katlynd Imbody narrowly missed all-tournament and finished seventh playing as a medalist.

VOLLEYBALL – won at Howard Payne, 3-1, and lost at Concordia, 3-1. SU plays its next three ASC matches at home starting tonight. In the HPU match, SU was paced by freshman Ashley Lyles (10 kills, two solo blocks, freshman Kelli Bolen (33 assists) and sophomore Jamie Burns (12 digs).

MEN'S SOCCER – won vs. Louisiana College, 2-1, and lost to Mississippi College, 2-1. Freshman Eric Bello scored two of the three goals on the weekend, both off assists by senior Philip Anderson, and Anderson scored Friday's game winner vs. LC off a pass from senior Sam Grant as the Mountaineers broke a frustrating losing skid.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY – Schreiner finished 11th at the Concordia Invitational in Austin on Saturday. Senior Ryan Maia returned to the team and was a big spark in leading with a 5k time of 18:30, followed closely by freshman Logan Eckhardt at 18:44 and senior Tom Pappas at 18:58. Senior Will Ramon also returned to the team and ran his first race of the year.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY – a pair of freshmen represented SU at the Concordia Invitational. Victoria Ponse ran the 5k race in 23:54 and Katherine Reamsnyder finished the race in 26:43.

WOMEN'S SOCCER – lost to both Louisiana College (1-0) and Mississippi College (3-0).
