VOLLEYBALL, MEN'S SOCCER BEGIN ASC POST-SEASON PLAY TODAY

Both the Schreiner volleyball and men's soccer teams will begin their pursuit of American Southwest Conference postseason tournament titles later today. Fans can follow the teams by clicking on the tournament websites below. Live stats (and live video for volleyball) are available for today's matches.

Schreiner Volleyball will play its first ASC postseason match since 1999 at 2:30 pm in Abilene, TX against East Texas Baptist. Schreiner Men's Soccer will play its first postseason match since 2009 when the Mountaineers face UT-Tyler at 2:00 pm in Clinton, MS.

The 2012 ASC Men's Soccer Championships are hosted by top-seed Mississippi College. If you click on this site (http://bit.ly/goSUSoccer12), you will have access to everything relating to the tournament including rosters, stats, the tournament program, schedules, brackets and the link to live stats for today's match itself. Schreiner just faced UT-Tyler last Saturday in Tyler and lost that match 2-0 to end the regular season. UTT is the tournament's #3 seed and SU is the #6 seed. The tournament is a single elimination event.

The 2012 ASC Volleyball Championships are hosted by top-seed Hardin-Simmons. Click here (http://bit.ly/GoSUVolleyball12) to access the tournament webpage which gives viewers a link to both live stats and live video for Schreiner's match as well as all other tournament matches. SU is the West Division #3 seed and ETBU is the East Division #2 seed. ETBU won in the only meeting of the two teams last month in ASC Crossover #2. The tournament is double-elimination.
