Cody LeCroy joined Schreiner Softball in his first year as Assistant Coach on August 18, 2016. Prior to coming to SU, LeCroy spent time coaching defensive backs an served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football program at Cisco College (NJCAA – D1).
LeCroy got his start coaching softball at Sul Ross State University in 2014) as a student assistant and then moved up to become the Graduate Assistant Coach the following year. From there, LeCroy spent time at fellow SCAC member, the University of Dallas, as a Volunteer Assistant Softball Coach.
As a student-athlete in college, LeCroy played his career at Sul Ross State as a football player from 2011-2013. His baseball career was cut short due to an injury. During his career, LeCroy was awarded The Lobo Spirit Award as a freshman. Sophomore year, LeCroy was a part of an explosive offense that lead the NCAA in total yards per game. Senior year, LeCroy was awarded the SRSU Student Leadership Award and also received Academic All-Conference two years in a row. He also served as the vice president for the SRSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
LeCroy received his Master’s in Science degree - Health and Human Performance in 2015), and an his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2014.
LeCroy hails from Needville, Texas and is a son of Scott and Lyn LeCroy.
