Earn Second Team All-ASC
Megan Eichman
and
Lyndsie Travis
each earned 2nd Team All-ASC West Division
honors for their play in 2007. Each had
earned Honorable Mention All-ASC West last year.
Travis led the
team in batting average with a .326 average, RBI
(25), home runs (5) and doubles (8). She
was among the ASC leaders in slugging percentage
(12th - .584). She also battled injuries
all season long while playing both pitcher and
first base. Her recognition was as a
utility player. Eichman was the team
leader in hits (34) and runs (23) and was third
in the ASC in stolen bases with 16, while being
second on the team in hitting (.309) and RBI.
She was the team's starting shortstop this year
after moving over from second base where she
played last year.
They were the
two biggest contributors on a Mountaineer team
that saw improvements in virtually every
category (over last year) under first year head
coach Don Green. Eichman is a junior and
Travis is a sophomore. |
