SU Goes the Distance for Win
at Huston-Tillotson
For the
second straight match,
Schreiner (2-0) defeated an
NAIA (scholarship) program.
This time it was a
hard-fought 3-2 win at
Huston-Tillotson.
The first game was a nail
biter with the home team
gaining the late edge and a
33-31 win. SU came
back for wins in both game

but then dropped a 30-21
game to force a final game
to decide the outcome.

was a back-and-forth effort
but Schreiner was able to
squeek out a 16-14 win for
the match victory.
Tiffany Miller was the
Mountaineers' biggest power
producer with 14 kills and 2
total blocks. Caitlin
Gayle added 9 kills but also
was a defensive force with 6
block assists.
Brittany Alvillar had 19

Westerholm had 39 assists.
