Before crossing over into a coaching role for the Mountaineers, Harris was a four-year starter for the Schreiner women’s basketball team. During her career, Harris garnered All-Conference athletic (two times) and academic (two times) honors both in the American Southwest and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conferences. Harris will look to take her role as a team leader from the court to the sideline in her new duties.
Harris was ecstatic about and grateful for the opportunity the university provided for her to continue her education and develop her coaching skill-set. “It is a terrific opportunity and feels great that my alma mater recognized all the hard work that I put in as a student and athlete in giving me this chance. It goes to show that hard work does pay off!!”
Harris is a Brownwood, TX native who was recently married to Schreiner alum (and former SU Baseball player) Ethan Catalani. Harris has just completed her Master’s Degree in Education.
